English 12 A:  Class discussed questions for "The Drunkard"; then took notes on writing an expository literary essay;  topics for the essay on "Finnie Walsh" were handed out.  Essay will be due on Friday, Oct. 26.

English 10 B:  Class worked on identifying subordinate clauses; novel study for "The Cage" handed out.  Class began work on the paragraph.
Note:  The novel study for "The Cage" meets several of the essential learning outcomes for the course and must be successfully completed in order to receive credit for English 10.

English 11C:  Class continued watching a dramatization of part of "The Martian Chronicles"; reading time for the novel.  Read to page 73.
Research essay good copy due on Friday, Oct. 26.  Be sure to include a bibliography with the essay.  Credit for the course cannot be given until the research essay is completed.
