English 12C:  Class discussed Second Period questions for "Finnie Walsh", took notes on the use of the comma and completed Exercise 9, p. 161 in Handbook of English.   Comma exercise to be handed in for marks.

English 10D:  Class completed and marked exercise on sentence identification; final work period for Planning 10 essay.

English 10A:  As above.

English 12C:  Class finished questions on Period 3 and continued reading Finnie Walsh.  The novel must be finished for the first class after spring break.

English 10D:  Class worked on the rough copy of the Planning 10 essay.  This essay must be completed in order to receive credit for English 10.  Computer time will be given on Friday for the class to word process the good copy of the essay.

English 10D: Class worked on finishing thesis sentence and introduction/conclusion paragraph exercises, and began work on Planning 10 essay.  No credit will be given for the course until the Planning 10 essay is successfully completed.

English 10A:  As above.

English 12D:  Class reviewed theme; discussed questions on Period 1 for Finnie Walsh; took notes on use of the semicolon.  Assigned Exercise 4, page 145 of Handbook of English.  Exercise to be handed in.

English 12C:  Paragraphs on "Tears, Idle Tears" returned.  Alternate assignment must be completed by Monday or no credit for this assignment.  Worksheet on Finnie Walsh - Period 1 handed out and class was given time to answer the questions.  Homework:  Finish questions on Finnie Walsh.  Period 2 to be read by Tuesday.
  
English 10D:  Class worked on finishing the 10 thesis sentences exercise and began to work on writing the Introduction and Conclusion paragraphs for an essay.

English 10A:  Reviewed the Complex sentence and corrected the worksheets on Complex sentences; finished the 10 thesis sentences and began writing the Introduction and Conclusion Sentences for an essay.

English 12C:  Class discussed questions on "The Drunkard"; reading time for novel.  HOMEWORK:  read to the end of Period 1 for tomorrow.  "Tears, Idle Tears" paragraph must be turned in tomorrow at the beginning of the class.  Otherwise an alternate assignment must be completed.

English 10D:  Class worked on and marked worksheet on Sentence ID - Simple, Compound, and Complex Sentences.  Then worked on Thesis Sentence exercise.

English 10A:  Class took notes on expository essays and then worked on Thesis Sentence exercise.  Homework:  Complete worksheet on Thesis Sentences.
